Hearing a “click” on track

Just upgraded to Pro 14 after not using Cubase for quite awhile. Still an amateur with a lot to learn … just “practicing” right now and trying things … recorded a section of pno track then set a marker to continue where I left off. There is an audible click between those sections now. Assuming this isn’t normal? Please advise. Thanks. (And you’ll prob see me on here a lot. :grimacing::laughing:)

Hi and welcome to the forum,

What Audio Device do you use? Ensure, there is no loopback enabled on the Audio Device driver (you would find it in the Control Panel).

Are you talking about an Audio-, MIDI- or Instrument Tracks?

Hi, I think you are referring to an unwanted noise between two audio events, right?

First of all, make sure that Snap to Zero Crossing is active in the toolbar to reduce unwanted artefacts.

If you want to align two consequent audio events select both of them and press X to do a crossfade. That’s usually the most efficient method.

Thanks so much for your response. I will try both suggestions. I thought it might have something to do with a fade.

Appreciate it.
