I have a file that I opened up in 2 windows, one on my laptop screen, and the other on an external monitor. Later, I opened the same file without both screens, and I have a full screen black screen, and a window with no title bar that I can’t minimize maximize or do anything with. In addition, audio now only plays out of the left speaker.
Any way to reset the windows for this file?
I can fix the audio for you, but I am not sure about the windowing stuff. Please send the project file to ‘u dot stoermer at steinberg dot de’. If not I, but I’m sure one of my colleagues can fix the window problem. Thanks
One option to potentially reset the window dimensions and positions is to delete or move aside the DocumentWindowPositions.ini file from inside your user data folder.
macOS: /Users/your-username/Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Dorico 3.5
Windows: %APPDATA%\Steinberg\Dorico 3.5
See if having moved this file aside, you get a normal-sized window for your problem project.
hi, I sent the project to Ulf. The window issue resolved itself after a flailing combo of restarting and double clicking randomly. Thanks to you both for quick replies.
