I previously bought a license to use Halion 6 and assigned that license to the elicenser control to use…now the usb elicenser control can’t be used anymore…so what should I do to continue using my purchased Halion 6?
The USB eLicenser will continue to work after the shutdown of the old licensing system. You won’t be able to move the licenses to a different dongle, though. It also won’t be possible to update the licenses to newer versions. That means, if you want to update to HALion 7 after the shutdown, you need to buy the full version.
So, HALion 6 can be used until the dongle breaks or the corresponding drivers stop working on a newer operating system. Therefore there’s no need to take action in this regard. However, if you’d like to use HALion 7 or a later version in the future, it might be worth updating before the shutdown because of the lower price.
