Hi, when working with SL11, after a while my computer says it’s running out of memory and I have to force quit. I have 64gb RAM… when looking at the Activity monitor, I can see how SL slowly builds up mem usage for every edit, and then all collapses around 50-55 gb of use. Same in ARA mode but then obviously Cubase is using up all the RAM. Could it be paging memory? And if so, how do I manage that?
SL 11 pro (latest)
MBP max 2021 with 64 gig RAM, 4 TB ssd.
Latest OSX
Cubase 14 (latest)
Best Regards.
I can’t repro that here, with more than 30 large edits on a 3min 44100Hz stereo file, it stays around 450MB.

-hi Robin, thanks for chiming in.
So, I have tried to find where the problem lies, and I think I’ve found it. It happens when working in “downmix channel” mode. When zooming in and out, memory consumption goes haywire. I’ve also found that changing fft-size releases the memory again so that´s good. Just a pain when you forget to do that before all memory is used up by SL. Please watch this video where I reproduce the issue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACmrEb9OTR8

@claesbjo Thanks for investigating this further, and recording this video, I was indeed able to repro with the Downmix Channels View (or by soloing a specific channel).
This memory leak is now fixed on my side, and will be part of the next patch 6 iteration.
