Hello I am currently collaborating writing melodies and top-lines with producers who know their tools better than me
however when i export dry vocals for them they can’t open them and edit them their end what format do i need have just been using .WAV i want it to be openable across various platforms some aren’t using cubase etc.real newbie here any help appreciated i have no mixing/mastering skills. Thanks in advance.
Hi,
Here’s a link that explains how to export:
Cheers am already doing it that way, Must just be the bit rate i guess will i lose much quality sending it 16bit ?
Ask your producer and engineer and match the sample rate / bit and kHz… The higher the better. I record at 24 bit / 48 kHz. I export at 24 bit / 48 kHz master at 24/48khz and export at 16 bit for iTunes distribution.
But everybody works differently. Cheers
No you won’t, if you first normalize your vocal track. There’s no way any vocal track has S/N ratio more than 96dB unless it’s recorded in laboratory-grade quiet room.
