Help with computer network file sharing

Hi All,

I have a problem. I have a Macbook Pro for live recording and I have a Win7 PC in the main studio. I am trying to find an easy way to get the files from the Macbook to the pc without using an external drive or memory stick. I want to share the files over the LAN. When I do this, I get a depressing 6MB/s transfer speed. Something is really screwy.

I’ve tried the studio’s router, Verizon’s router, wireless and direct connected one computer to the other with a network cable. The Studio PC has no wireless adapter. That is wired to the studio router (no internet, just for wireless remote control of the system) or the Verizon router when I need internet access. The Macbook is always wirelessly connected to either router.

Has anyone come across this before?

Macbook Pro:
OSX 10.8.5

There are a lot of different reports on this issue. I don’t know where to go. Maybe there is a way I can install an FTP client on both machines and use that?

I am clueless to this and would be grateful for any ideas you may have.
