Apologies if this has been addressed before. I did check past posts, deleted and recreated my Dorico Wizard playback templates, searched the VSL forum and support materials for this, but didn’t find a clear answer. My Dorico Wizard pts no longer load. They are listed in the Playback Template directory as available, but don’t load when selected. I have the latest version of Synchron Player and the Vienna Assistant, I own Synchron PRIME and use ‘Installed Products Only.’ Any help in resolving this will be greatly appreciated. They have worked for me before, so this is puzzling. Previous works where I used VSL pts load and play. I have also, of course, contacted Vienna Instruments regarding this,

The first thing to check, I’d suggest, would be whether your Dorico Wizard files are in fact being saved to your hard drive where they ‘should’ be/where you expect them to be.
So in *Vienna Assistant (*also suggest making sure you have the latest version, which is 1.2.584), please try re-running Dorico Wizard, after noting which products you’re saving PTs for (best practice is to work with one ‘global’ file - making it available to all sound libraries which you have so that you don’t have to change it if you (later) change your file’s instrumentation):
Does Dorico Wizard ask you whether to overwrite previous files?
Then look in:
~/Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Dorico 6/PlaybackTemplateSpecs (macOS)
or
C:\Users[Your_Username]\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Dorico 6\PlaybackTemplateSpecs (Windows).
Do the date and time of the file which should be saved there correspond to what you just did?
If so, then it would appear that Dorico Wizard is working. But do ask if these instructions aren’t clear etc 
!
The next step will be to figure out what’s happening inside Dorico itself…

Thank you so much. . As I mentioned, previous works that used a VSL playback templates still work. I’ll look into the things you suggested here.

Thanks for underlining the fact that previous PTs work. That’s to be expected if you haven’t changed them or their application to/association with (Play > Playback Template…) a given Dorico score. Maybe you could include a screen grab of what you see there, like this in my case:
May I suggest: when you’ve reported back here with your findings, let’s look at the actual Products (VSL instruments and instrument families) which have been saved in a Wizard PT.
And how these correspond (or perhaps no longer do correspond) to scores which use them.
For example, is it possible that you first excluded (= didn’t actually include!) an instrument/instrument family in the column of checkboxes in Dorico Wizard on the left of the list of those for which you want to create a PT, and so overwritten a previous PT with one which omits those instruments/families?

I reset the Dorico Wizard and created an “All” Synchron VST playback template. It does show up where it’s supposed to with the name, date and time. And, it shows up in the Playback Templates menu.
It just doesn’t load. So, I may have done something to my Dorico settings,

Please expand on this. Your second screenshot appears to show the ‘VSL All’ template where it should be (as you say) and the Edit Playback window set up - again - as one would expect.
What error or absence of an effect are you experiencing when you click on ‘Apply and Close’?
When I select Apply and close, the transport bar blinks briefly- maybe 2 seconds, and then nothing is loaded in the VST & midi tracks- everything is blank.
What happens when you set the instruments you want manually in both ‘VST and MIDI’ and track by track in ‘Track Inspector’?
Forgive me if you’re already familiar with the procedure; in which case this video might not really help. Worth a look if not . And this. Good luck!

Thanks again for your help.. It looks as though everything is OK within Dorico. I heard from Vienna Instruments and sent them a diagnostic support file from the Vienna Assistant at their request.
I will check out the video, though
Heard from VSL. They said it was because I’m using an older Mac OS; I run Windows 11; then they said they’ve changed the name of the library from Synchron PRIME Edition to Synchron PRIME Orchestra; apparently that’s why the Dorico Wizard pts don’t work anymore. I have Prime Edition in the Vienna Assistant. The PRIME library is exactly the same-only the name is different.
