I need to write for a Bouzouki ( don’t ask 
) as part of a small ensemble.
The instrument does not exist in the list so i went for mandolin in the score.
I managed to rename the player on Setup and on layout but in the score it still appears as a mandolin part.
Is there a way i can rename the instruments name in score?

Yep, you can use the Edit Instrument Names dialog - this changes what appears in staff labels in the score. Here’s a clarification of which names are used in different places.
