Help with Logical Editor: Select Notes In Region/Selection

Hello,

I’ve managed to successfully create a Logical Editor preset for selecting specific notes in a midi sequence. For example, every first note in a sequence of 16th notes (1-5-9-13).

My question - when I apply the preset it selects those notes over entire midi region. Is there a way to apply the preset only for specific notes highlighted in a midi region? Like apply only to notes in a loop or between locators?

Hi,

I cannot imagine this in one step. But I could imagine a Macro of Logical presets:

  1. Select the area, where you want to apply your Logical Preset.
  2. Use your Logical Preset, but don’ select the note. Do some other transform action. For example, change the MIDI channel.
  3. De-select all.
  4. Via another Logical Preset, select only notes with MIDI Channel 2.
  5. Change the Channel of these Note to MIDI Channel 1 back.

=> Notes are selected, and back on the original MIDI Channel.

You can try Position/Inside Cycle to apply your preset to notes between locators.
