Help with MIDI CC Control on Sampler Tracks

Hi,

I’m trying to figure out a few things about controlling sampler tracks in Cubase and was hoping for some guidance:

  1. Is it possible to use MIDI CC directly in the MIDI region to control for example, either volume (CC7) or filter (CC1/modulation) on a sampler track?
  2. Or is this only possible through read automation with quick controls through the remote midi mapping?

If direct CC control isn’t possible, could someone explain the proper way to set up remote MIDI for quick controls? I use MIDI remote for scripting on touchscreens and similar setups, but I’ve never really wrapped my head around how quick controls work with remote midi mapping. Just a basic approach to assigning my fader on my nanoKontrol, to control volume or a filter on the sampler track, and have it have automation read/write so I can also share this with others.

If you have a link or any tips to help me understand, I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance for your help!

Cheers,
DMDComposer
