Help with recovering old Cubase SX project

The project opens OK in 10.5 but all the tracks say ‘image under construction error’.

An associated folder, ‘Audio’ has all the .wav files but the audio info on the project doesn’t match them, and evidently Cubase doesn’t know where they are.
What to do?

Does the audio play back?

Try to delete the images subfolder of your project, please. Cubase will be forced to recreate the files from scratch, what could take some minutes, but it will not use the old image files.
