This is a collection of mostly theatrical music composed by Henry Purcell (1659-1695) played on Accordion, Mandolin, Guitars, and Bass (and occasional percussion) in a modern folk or folk-dance acoustic style.
Each of the pieces in the project comprise (often a medley of) deceptively simple folk-like tunes, usually in the folk-dance 2As, 2Bs (and repeat) form. The components of each medley are pieces that we enjoyed playing and felt went together, and are not necessarily from the same show or collection.
The entire project was recorded and mixed using Cubase v9.5.
