_It is true that SX 3 needs t be used if you wish to import older VST files however I do not think SX3 is going to operate in Mac OS 10.6 the operating system is far to new.
You will need to run an older Mac OS like 10.3 or 10.4. Or perhaps you can use something like boot camp on the Mac and run Windows XP if you have it. Or an PC running XP would work as well.
