I agree that a native scale feature in the MIDI editor would be very useful. Being able to select a root note and scale, highlight the correct notes, hide notes outside the scale, or snap entered notes to the selected scale would make writing melodies and chords much easier.
For now, AU MIDI effects that support scales may provide a workaround on compatible devices, but having this functionality built directly into Cubasis would offer a much smoother and more reliable workflow.
Regarding additional instruments and effects, it might help to mention which platform you use and which specific plug-ins you would like to see in the Cubasis Shop. Hopefully Steinberg will consider expanding both areas in a future update.
Dude, I’m on android which I couldn’t put plugins like as iOS users do just buy them the store inside the app and I wish they would add more plugins like distortion and some dynamic.
If you’re on iOS, I’d highly recommend Scaler 3, a standalone app and AUv3 MIDI plugin that will do exactly this, but infinitely more powerful than such features in Cubasis, if added, will likely ever be.
It’s not just for music theory assistance, it’s a very inspiring tool as well. I use it a lot.
