Hi, I just bought Dorico pro 5 yesterday. Question about installationsI installed all the

I installed the Dorico 5, it is running perfectly well. but I see that in the download assistant I can install more products, like drum kits, VST instruments and plug ins…

Is it good to install them? or it is for use in Cubase?

Statring to learn this program after years with Finale.

Install them if you need them (or want to test them).
Dorico can use multiple VST instruments and effects, but if you don’t plan on using them, just skip them.

I use Dorico with NotePerformer, so I don’t need most of those additional goodies.

Everything that you’ve bought will be under “My Product Downloads”

(I’ve bought a few other things.) Ooh, look, there’s an update for something.

But the SDA contains links to download EVERYTHING that Steinberg makes.

The download assistant covers all Steinberg products. Apart from the items bundled with Dorico (in the Dorico section) you will need to purchase the others.

Thank you so much. I am very happy with Dorico just one day after purchase. A friend told me about the osibilities to write microtonal music with it. is that true?

Yes, you can configure all kinds of custom tonalities in the Key Signature panel on the right hand side. It comes with a couple of built-in micro-tonal systems.

… I’m still trying to get people to sing and play to the nearest semitone, let alone anything else!

I love you! Thank you so much. I will have a free week (starting from today) to study Dorico. I am checking a couple of videos in youtube. If you have advises let me know.

Cheers to everyone!
