Hidden dynamics in score print in Parts

Hey all. I often hide dynamics in my score for playback purposes but they appear in the Parts. It seems I have to go into the score and delete each hidden dynamic before printing parts.
Later: I finally bumbled onto the solution. It appears that before writing music I need to go into the Properties panel and make sure “Need Show” is ALL, “Show” is All, and most importantly “Set Local Properties” to Globally. I doubt I can do this retroactively and must go into the score and remove all hidden dynamics. If anyone knows of a way to avoid that I would appreciate it.
I truly love Dorico but there is a learning curve.

Thanks for the Help,
Kent

Hi,

In your score layout:
Make sure the signpost for the hidden dynamics are visible.
Select all. Filter dynamics and propagate properties (in the edit menu).
I think that should do it.

Edit:
Beware that that action would propagate all overwritten properties from the selected items.

Hey Rafaelv,

Thanks for the reply. I will save a copy of this so I can update some older scores. I did go ahead and delete manually the hidden dynamics which was fairly easy except for the occasional erasing of musical material that accidentally got selected.
It was very nice of you to reply so quickly. Much appreciated!
