Sure. Galley view is a descriptive view for the user, not a printable view for the end product.
… and, as such, any properties applicable only in Engrave mode won’t be shown unless you’re already in Page view.
Thank you. I’m learning, slowly, and have only just found occasion to use galley view. I needed to hide both a notehead and its ledger lines — the notehead duly disappeared, but the ledger lines were still there, which confused me.
I vastly prefer to work in galley view for inputting all initial elements.
