Hidden playing technique shows in page view but not in galley view

I have hidden a playing technique in the properties panel while in galley view but it shows up again in the page view. Does anyone know why this is and how to make it hidden in page view? (the Signposts hidden or not command has no effect. In the page view the technique is simply not seen as a signpost which can be hidden)

That’s a condensed staff you’re showing. When you hide a playing technique in an uncondensed staff you have to hide it again in the condensed staff (in Engrave mode). I find that pretty inconvenient but it is by design as Daniel explains below.

Yes, of course there is a reason behind it! Depending on exactly how the music ends up being condensed, you may need to the playing techniques from the source instruments to be shown or hidden differently from the source, uncondensed music. In general, many properties can be set independently between the condensed and uncondensed music. We know that users would like the ability to propagate properties from uncondensed to condensed music, and vice versa, but that is not currently possible.

Thanks for the link. it is indeed not obvious that you have to do this in Engrave mode and cannot do it in Write mode where you cannot highlight anything on a condensed staff.
