Hi, I’m coming over from Finale and trying to migrate some of my files over and running into this issue. Is there a way that I can remove the key signature on the ossia? Is there also a way that i can put a break in the ossia between the 4th and 5th notes. it seems to want to jump an 8th note instead of a 16th when i try to move it. Thanks for your help.
Welcome to the forum @Cellmuse ! Dorico doesn’t normally show key signatures on ossia staves, unless they start at the position of the key signature, so this could be a result of the XML import.
As for adding s break between the 4th and 5th ossia notes: so long as there can be a rhythmic gap between the + 1 staff and - 1 staff signposts (which are how Dorico starts/stops ossias), I don’t see why not.
Set your rhythmic grid to a small enough value (eg semiquavers/16th notes), move the +1 staff signpost to the start of the 5th note, then copy/paste a -1 staff signpost to shortly after the 4th note, where you want the ossia to stop temporarily.
If you select the purple +1 staff signpost and look in the Properties panel in the lower zone, you’ll see the Show preamble property in the Staff Count group. By default that property should be deactivated, but if it is activated, try deactivating it. Both the clef and the key signature should disappear.
