Hide only piano name on operatic vocal score

I want to show abbreviated singer names for an opera score but, with the exception of the first system, hide the piano instrument name throughout.

In Layout Options I chose to show only abbreviated names after the first system and then deleted the abbreviated name for the piano but this only results in the full piano name showing on all staves. I suspect there must be a way to get what I want but am stymied. Suggestions welcome!

Rather than deleting it, just put a space.
