Hide open or close figured bass bracket using popover?

Is there a syntax that will hide the open or close bracket on figured bass using the popover? I find myself going to the properties panel a lot to hide a single bracket. Just wondering if there was a more efficient method. Thanks.

I don’t know about a popover syntax to hide brackets, but [Edit] you cold read the next post by @asherber with a much better suggestion  you could record three macros to hide the left one, the right one and unhide (just select a FB item, start recording macro and do those actions, saving each time a different macro by stopping the macro recording. Then after restarting Dorico you can access those macros from the jumper or assign a shortcut to them easily in MacOS Applications shortcuts or editing the Jason file for the key commands. Search the forum for explanations on how to do the last thing.)

If you want to map custom key commands (using the json file), it doesn’t even need a macro – you can map one of the commands directly.

-- Hide closing bracket
UI.InvokePropertyChangeValue?Type=kFiguredBassSingleParenthesisHidden&Value=kEnd

-- Hide opening bracket
UI.InvokePropertyChangeValue?Type=kFiguredBassSingleParenthesisHidden&Value=kStart

-- Unhide
UI.InvokePropertyEnableSwitch?Type=kFiguredBassSingleParenthesisHidden&Value=false

Here are a couple of posts about editing your key commands file.

Thank you @asherber. I keep forgetting this direct way (and honestly I always forget how to implement this, so your explanation is always welcome :+1: )

Edit; I bookmarked your reply: lets see if I will forget that I have the bookmark too
