"hide play technique" in a score does not affect the linked part

Dear ladies and gentlemen,

“hide play technique” in a score does not affect the linked part and vice versa.
Does it work as intended?

To me (as a long Finale user), it seems to be a bug.

I think there must be an option as follows:

  • hiding playing technique in a score and the linked part
  • hiding playing technique only in a score
  • hiding playing technique only in the linked part

It would be great if these operations could be done by keyboard shortcuts.

Best regards,
prko

Yes, this is intended behaviour.

You can however use ‘Propagate Properties’ (in the Edit menu I believe) to copy all custom set properties of your selection from the layout you are in to the other layouts.
I don’t think a key command is set by default, but you should be able to add one yourself in the preferences.

The following idea would be more convenient:
Changing an option in properties by ALT + clicking causes “Automatic Propagate Properties”.

Would it be possible to implement?

Propagate Properties was introduced as a stopgap measure. Something better is planned for a future release.

Thank you.
