Hide rest turns bar into being minuscule. How can I achieve this?

Hi,

I need to hid that rest but keep the space to leave a chord symbol (see video). How can I achieve that? for some reason I can’t scale down the rest which is a trick I have tried in the past. The behaviour looks a bit strange as well as selecting and activating “scale” in the lower zone unselects it and prevents any change to it:

Try setting the color opacity to zero (alpha channel on windows)

it doesn’t allow me to change the color either, same behaviour as the one I get for scaling
