Hide staff?

Been using for a few days (come from finale), have created first SSA and piano. Needing to hide SSA in a section where piano only plays. How would I do this?
thanks all

If you want to always hide empty staves throughout the Layout, then there are settings in Layout Options > Vertical Spacing > Staff Visibility.

Otherwise, once you’ve created a System Break, you can select it and press Enter, which will bring up the Manual Staff Visibility dialog. You’ll then need another one to Show the staff again, later on.

Yes, saw that one, but it hid SSA all the time as you said

This sounds more like waht I am trying to do. Will have a go, thanks for speedy reply

Note that if you turn on Empty Staff hiding in Layout Options, you can “override” that with the System Break’s Manual Visiblity settings.

In other words, if it’s less work to hide them all and then reveal a few, you can do that instead.

Just did the system break, double clicked to bring up manual staff visibility dialog - hid what I needed (SSA) - another break - dialog again and clicked on show. Worked well. Will now have a look at the other way you’ve just suggested.

I am finding Dorico intuitive and once pointed in the right direction with a few things that are not immediately obvious (by the lovely folk here in the forum/videos/manual), very quick to learn
