Reminder clefs have often been discussed in the forum. Is there now a simple way to hide a Reminder clefs?
In my score, the reminder clef in the Clarinet 2/Bassoon part is awkwardly crammed in after the repeat sign, even though the bass clef doesn’t actually appear until the staff after next.
(Background: I need an somewhat unusual instrument change from Clarinet to Bassoon here).
Is it possible to at least have the reminder clef displayed later on?
Well, the change of clef is required, because the instrument on the staff is changing from a treble clef clarinet to a bass clef bassoon; the only question is where it goes. And since the bassoon plays its first notes at the start of the system, you need a cautionary at the end of the previous system.
If you change the setting that @jesele suggests and add a system break so that the bassoon starts in the second measure of the system, then you don’t get a cautionary on the previous system.
