Hi,
is there a possibility to hide single tracks in an audio montage? I have a lot of tracks in my surround montage, and often work just with some of them. Would be nice to hide unused tracks or even better to diminuish them to one line. Otherwise I ever hav to scroll up and down (an my screen is not too small).
Thanks
Tim
Not possible, but you are not the only one to request it, and this is considered for WaveLab 12.
Ok. Thanks for answering.
Hiding tracks, and making tracks “inactive” to fully suspend any clip or track effects from processing, but the ability to put the track back to active and have the plugin settings restored and working again would be nice.
Hello,
I just bought version 12
Can you tell me how I hide tracks now ?
The feature is called “Sidelining Track”.
Thank you Laturec, very useful
It looks like this feature has a little bug though : if I have Track 1, Track 2, Track 3 and Track 4, sidelining Track 1 and Track 2 effectively hides Track 1 and Track 2 but renames Track 3 to Track 1. Then , opening contextual menu and highlighting “Recover sidelined tracks” proposes a list with “Track 1” and “Track 1” instead of Track 1 and Track 2 !
If you give explicit track names, I don’t think this happens. If there is no explicit track name, WaveLab generates some.
Just tested. You are right
But it feels wrong nonetheless
I believe when someone sidelines a track and this track has no explicit name, then the displayed name, if virtual, should be made explicit before proceeding so this strange behavior does not happen
