Hiding a rit.?

I’d like to hide the rit. but I can’t find anything in the Properties panel. I could of course change the text to “Rit. on second pass” but since that’s the natural thing to do it isn’t really needed for anything but playback in Dorico.

If I understood right, hiding is very simple Tomas: just set the scale to 1:

…or blank the text…

You can create a hidden rit (or any other tempo mark) in the popover with parentheses.

As Alberto says, this blanks the “Text” field in the Properties.

If I blank the text without scaling it looks like this, since the rit is extended throughout one bar.

If I scale the text to 1 there’s still a very thin line when the ‘rit’ is deselected, maybe not visible on every screen.

On the other hand it’s not visible when selected. Then there are just the start and end points in orange. Another optical illusion as it seems.

Using the popover with (rit.) only creates a signpost with no visible line even if the signpost is hidden.

Because the style of your rit is set to draw a line.
