Hiding all the rest at the first empty bar of a system shows cautionary key signature!

Hello,

Hiding all the rest at the first empty bar of a system shows cautionary key signature as follows:

Is this intended?

Same behaviour here, strange indeed!
If, instead of “Remove Rest”, you set the Color property of the rests to transparent (Alpha channel = 0), or chose 1% Custom scale, it resolves the issue.

Also, but you probably know it, you could use a different flow for the second piece. Then there would be no cautionary key signature at the end of the first one — which is actually a recurrent topic here, since many of us would love that option to be available!

And just in case, you also have this option, in Notation Options, i.e. in a per-flow basis:

[Edit: this option seems to be irrelevent for this case]

Thank you, but scaling to 1% still causes a problem. You will see small dots and lines when printing and creating PDFs…

That is why I was suggesting to change Color Property to transparent, which really hides the objects as far as I know.

Ah, thanks!

Thanks for reporting that, it certainly sounds unexpected. Does this also occur if you change the default setting to hide cautionary key signatures in Notation Options > Key Signatures, and/or change the cancellation style of key signature changes?

In the meantime though, if these are separate sections of music, I really would encourage you to consider splitting them into separate flows.

Hm, after changing ‘the cancellation style of key signature changes’, it seems to work as expected… It is really strange.
