Dorico shows the key signature in white text on a red background above the first measure. How can I hide this text?
Hi @MilennialZero,
welcome to the forum!
View→Signposts is your friend. Either hide them all or just uncheck the one for key signatures.
I don’t know a lot about Dorico, but I can say that my favorite shortcut that I created is Ctl-opt-cmd-P to toggle signposts on and off. – Bill
In addition to the other answers given, note that signposts don’t print – they only display in the application, to let you know about things that are in the score but not visible.
Wow. Thanks! So that was a “signpost”. #learning Great responses from the community. Dorico is a great product with great support. I’m impressed. Very useful product for non-professionals using it to annotate scales, chords, for learning purposes. Which means it’s actually reasonably easy to learn and use and doesn’t require major investment of time to learn all the bells and whistles before you can use it in simple ways.
