Hiding local time signature removes large time signature from other staves

I have started a new work for three instruments, two of which came bracketed together. I like large time signatures, but wanted to hide the time signature from the vibraphone (top staff). I made it into a local time signature (opt-enter in the shift-M popover), but when I then hid it in the Property Window, the large time signature in the two other staves changed to individual small time signatures, defeating my purpose. I also tried extending the bracket to include the vibraphone, but that just placed a time signature on the vibraphone staff, again defeating what I want).

How it started:

Made the vibraphone time signature a local one prior to hiding it:

Result after hiding it: the violin and cello now have their own regular (not large) time signatures

This is from an earlier score I did in Dorico and is basically what I want for the current score, but I suspect it was not an issue given that the farfisa is a two-stave instrument like any standard keyboard:

Any suggestions greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Instead of making the vibraphone time signature local and hiding it, you could go to Library > Engraving Options > Time Signatures > Time Signatures Centered on Brackets and change the scale factor for time signatures on one staff to zero.
