Hiding rests (for a worksheet)

Hi there, I’m trying to hide some rests in a worksheet I’m making so that a student can pencil in their own notes & rests (once printed). I notice that there’s an option ‘edit - remove rests’ but when I do this it collapses and squishes the bars all the way to the left, so I need the rests hidden, but the staff still spanning the width of the page? Any suggestions? Cheers. Picture attached for clarity.

In the casting off options, have you tried to force 4 bars per system?

In the layout options, under ‘Staves and Systems’.

try Layout options/Players/Bar Rests…/untick Show bar rests in empty bars
