Hiding rests impossible in condensed score?

It seems impossible to hide rests in a condensed score? Is that right? Or is there a way?

There are several ways. Could you describe the rests you want to hide and why?

Thanks Mark. There are resting parts in the score while there is an extended cadenza passage. These need to look like common time. Here’s an example from the uncondensed score:

Condensing it reveals the hidden rests, and I haven’t found a way to fix this:

As you see, one part is still correct, but I can’t see the difference between it and the others.

Use tuplets in the instruments that do not play, so that their rests appear as if it were common time. Tuplets (mostly hidden ones) solve most rhythmic issues in Dorico

Thank you, Marc. An excellent suggestion. Still, it seems so random that some rests are hidden and some aren’t.

With the solution I gave you, no rests are hidden, that’s the beauty of it!

Hi, I need to hide a whole bar rests in condensing and I am looking for ways of doing so!
I try to simulate a key change at the end of the flow and so far this is the single way I could figure out, but I can not hide the rests
Thanks

Have you tried to shrink them to 1% and opacity to 0?
