Hiding Rests in condensed parts

I am writing a score with 4 horn parts. Horn 1 &2 are condensed together. In gallery view, I can hide the rests in horn 2 when it is just horn 1. But when it goes back to page view it appears again and I cant seem to hide them. Is there a work around for this?

Will these Notation Options help? Can be set with a condensing change also.
