Hiding Rests on score for Tacet Players

I have two questions regarding Tacet players on scores. I have created a Tacet box that can display in the staff using the line tool. I have checked erase background but the rest still shows through the text. Is there a different way to achieve this. Additionally, can you hide all rests for a player that is Tacet in a cue? This is used in Film Music since a single template is used throughout a film and it is nice to see which players are not playing on that specific cue.

You can select the rest in that instrument and activate the Force position and duration property, then set it to be 1% scale via the Custom scale property.

Dorico does of course have built-in support for tacet sheets: just make sure that the instrument is detached from the flow, but still attached to the part layout, and you’ll get an automatic tacet.

Awesome! and yes the Tacet sheet is awesome but this is for the score to indicate that the instrument is Tacet

I’m also currently trying to add Tacet indications on a score as shown above, and setting the Custom scale to 1 works great for single instruments, but it doesn’t seem to work at all for condensed staves (picture below for reference). I tried turning off condensing and changing it for both staves that are being condensed, and also tried changing the color to white, and neither of those alterations are reflected when I turn on condensing. Is there any viable work around besides just using a divisi section instead of condensed staves? I suppose that might just be the simplest solution.
