Hiding selected time signatures messes up repeat barlines and also isn't working

See attached video and score. I’ve been trying to just have the middle instrument (the vibraphone) display a large time signature, but hitting cmd-M and then option-return to make some of these local time signatures ends up removing my repeat barlines in all but that one staff, and in any case is not getting me the result I want. I’ve also tried it with “set local properties locally” and that didn’t seem to work either. The biggest issue is with what happens to my repeat barlines; they all go away in the other staves. And then the vibraphone time signature reverts to a small time signature on that staff, so I’m not seeing how to get it back to being a large time signature, just displaying on that staff.

Is there any other way to simply hide a time signature from selected staves? I used to do that on a per-instrument basis in Finale by simply unchecking a box, so I’m hoping there is another way to do it in Dorico that also works to get me what I’m looking for. Thanks.

Hi @dtoub,

Yes there is!
(No need for locally hidden TS here) You can use the global Manual behavior in Layout Options>Time Signatures–>Large TS behaviour . Set just the vibraphone as Large Time Signature Group(s) (deleting the other two groups) :

Here the Manual:

In Engraving Options, you can then set the desired size:

Thank you so much!!! That is really great to know. It works exactly as I wanted.
