I have the occasional but frustrating case where I am trying to move an INSERT FX down a slot, to insert another one before it. What happens if I am not super careful is that the insert gets removed completely. With all its settings etc. And that action is not in HISTORY. Can a function be added to either WARN before such insert is removed, or add it to the History log? See screenshot - basically Slot 2 is blank now after I “drag & drop” the Reverb that was on there to slot 3 but it got removed.
Mac, Cubase 15 Pro.
Moving/removing inserts should be in the mixer history:
You could undo it in the list:
Or use the according key command:
It works the same when you removed the plugin by accident.
Thank you, yes correct - but does not resolve the issue at Project Window/Track setting?
I wouldn’t understand what you mean. You either use the project undo or the mixconsole undo. What issue remains unresolved? That you can accidentally delete something in the first place?
The project undo / history does not record the deletion of an insert. That’s the issue.
Yes, but the mixer undo history does.
I think it is great to have everything mixer-related in it’s own undo history.
Everything mixer related is in the mixer history and can be undone via it´s own history and keycommand as I showed to you.
That’s the way it works in Cubase/Nuendo
Once more on video:
You can use MixConsole Undo also from the project window. By default the key command is Alt/Opt + Z.
An easy way to know when to use which undo: MixConsole Undo is responsible in case of any changes on the channel of a track.
