Hit record, but start the recording from the left locator

If “Activate Punch In” is on (see the screenshot below), hitting play will start the playback and then the recording process (when the cursor reaches the left locator). OK! Great, but I’d like to hit record and have the same behavior. Is this possible?

Please don’t try to find solutions for me. Answer only if you also needed something like this in the past. Thank you.

The solution is to activate the option: “Deactivate Punch In on Stop” (in preferences > recording). I activated it and created a macro that activates Punch In, then starts the playback. Problem solved. Thank you.
