I’m struggling to find the words for this question so I hope the answer is actually easy.
I’m a believer in showing the divide in a measure between beat 2 and 3 in 4/4. In a chart I’m writing today, I have three quarter notes hitting on the and of 1, and of 2, and the and of 3. I would typically divide the middle quarter into two tied 8ths to show the split between beat 2 and 3 to improve sight reading accuracy.
Is there a setting in one of the options menus I can use to have this be automatic, so I don’t have to force duration?
