How are vst instruments organized?

Hi,
In the main page, when choosing a VST instrument a menu appears with all the instruments installed in the machine.
Can you tell me please if it is possible( and how) to reorganize them?

VST 2.x you can re-organize by putting them in folders on your HD. VST 3.x you are fuxored. You have two choices. List by vendor and list by type. Type is determined for you. Hopefully they will add organizational capability back in some day.
