How can I activate Nuendo 11 cross-grade from Cubase

Dear Steinberg Support Team,

I have a Nuendo 11 cross-grade from Cubase authorization that has not been activated yet.
It‘s under eLicenser, but my Cubase authorization is under Steinberg Licensing.

How can I activate it?

Best regards,

Welcome to the Forum

What do you mean by Nuendo 11 “CG”?

Nuendo and Cubase authorization are not connected, so if you have a Nuendo license it has nothing to do with Cubase.

If you have a Download Access Code or Authorization Code for Nuendo 11 you need to install the eLicenser Control Center, which is also automatically installed by the Download Assistant. Nuendo 11 is using the eLicenser, not Steinberg Licenseing, but if you open the eLicenser Control Center and enter your Activation Code you can get the license activated.

However, there is currently a sales promotion for Nuendo where you can get Nuendo 13 with a discount of 30% and a free upgrade to Nuendo 14 when it is released in March.

Just a guess, but I suspect it means cross-grade.

It’s Nuendo 11 cross-grade from Cubase

That release needs the eLicenser.
So you need the USB Dongle and the eLicenser control center. There you can activate it. Steinberg Licensing starts wit Nuendo 12.

I was only allowed to upload a picture once, so let’s see if this makes it clearer.

My Cubase license has been upgraded to steinberg Licensing.

The cubase11 license stays on eLicenser, showing “Cubase Pro 11 (Upgraded to Cubase with Steinberg Licensing) ”.
When I enter the “Nuendo 11 CG from Cubase” activation code in eLicenser, I get prompted “Currently, there is no license available which can be upgraded by your upgrade license. Please connect an USB-eLicenser, which holds an appropriate upgradable license, to your computer.”
So I can’t crossgrade to Nuendo 11 now.

Does this mean that “Nuendo 11 CG from Cubase” won’t work? Even if I haven’t activated it yet.

Thanks for help!

So you already updated your Cubase license to a later Cubase version and that means you can’t use this license for another update or cross grade.

Do you have a later Cubase release activated via Steinberg Licensing?

That is correct because you have used your Cubase 11 license already for an update. I think this cross grade will not be possible, so the best you can do is ask for a refund.

It seems this is the only way, thank you.
