- How do I get ending repeats to appear in all voice parts? (1st screen shot)
- How can I get the tempo markings in this same piece to only appear above the top staff? (2nd screen shot) I don’t want the tempo markings in the piano reduction. (I personally prefer to have tempo markings in the piano, but my client only wants them above the top staff.)
I figured out how to get system objects to appear above the piano. This enabled me to add repeat endings above the piano part, but then the tempo markings also appeared in the piano, which I don’t want. Thanks for any help.
This is an area where we users need more granularity, and have been asking for it for quite a long time. Hopefully Dorico 6 will bring it. Or Dorico 7!
I assume from your response that what I’m asking for isn’t possible? If so, that’s pretty disappointing. For system objects, I can see why you would set tempos, D.S., markings, etc. to only appear at the top or above instrument families, but you may want other markings (like repeat endings) to appear in more staves. It would be useful to have more options with system objects than “on or off,” or at the very least, have the ability to “turn on” repeat endings in the Edit menu or the Properties panel.
