How can I change the MIDI controller input notes for percussion?

I have a percussion map made for a drum kit, but I want my MIDI controller to play the sounds using notes corresponding to the plugin, not the 5-line drum staff.

There’s a preference in Preferences>Note input and Editing > Percussion input
You can choose between percussion map and 5-line-staff.
