You could select it and change the color opacity (alpha channel) to zero.

Hm, could you share the file? Removing the rest will mess with the space.
Using a Paragraph style for the text with a white background might cover the staff lines.

First one with a white background. Second with color opacity set to zero on the rest.

Something’s wrong with my file Jesper. I pasted the drum staff into a new file and your suggestion works - thank you. I couldn’t post the file as it’s over 7Mb, and deleting most of the players didn’t reduce it very much, so I’m starting a new file.
