In Dorico 6 Pro, how can I change the pitch of the Flexatone? Currently, I can only notate its pitch on the middle line of the staff.
Are you trying to change the visual appearance of the flexatone’s sheet music, or are you trying to change its playback pitch? Or both? If you’re interested in changing playback, what instrument sound library are you using?
I just want to change the notated pitch of this instrument; the actual sound doesn’t matter.
I think you need to use some pitched instrument like glockenspiel and change the name to Flexatone.

You can make a copy of the glockenspiel in Library->Instruments and change the name there.
Yeah, I think the flexatone is set up as an unpitched percussion instrument, meaning it only has one pitch and can only be assigned to one line of a staff. If you’d rather not treat the flexatone as a pitched percussion instrument, I believe the solution is to create a percussion kit, where you can assign unpitched percussion instruments to various locations on the staff. I’m not that experienced with creating percussion kits though.
Very thank you!
This is exactly what I did on a previous score, I added a “Sampler” instrument and changed its name to Flexatone, and set the percussion clef.
