How can you align playing techniques text with lines

Hello everyone.

I am struggling to align the text of playing techniques with lines. For example; I would like to write “ord. → sul pont.” The only solution I can find is to manually move text and lines in engrave mode but that is a very tedious solution.
I know I can insert text in the lines properties, but then that would not function as a playing technique.

Is there an align text-function? I know sibelius has this.

Regards,
Fredrik.

The lines are redundant (or rather, the process of manually inserting Lines and then adjusting them is redundant) - you can group playing techniques together, which produces continuation or transition lines that automatically align. You can even input sets of grouped Playing Techniques in one fell swoop like so (as long as you’ve ensured that the rarely-used sul pont sign doesn’t have the same popover text as the more common sul pont. text, in the Playing Techniques editor):

Thank you so much for the quick respons.

How would I fix the alignment of “S.P.” which appears lower? These are a group as you showed in your previous post.

Is it possible that your custom s.p. Playing Technique has a redundant line break or something, in the Playing Techniques Editor? Or that in Engrave mode you’ve manually nudged it down?

S.P. was nudged but it’s not anymore - but the problem remains

And the ord. hasn’t also been manually nudged, in your initial attempt to manually align these?

No, I’ve reset everything, I’m not sure if the continuation tab in playing techniques affects this?
I’ve tried to change the optoions but i wouldn’t change anything in this instance.

:boom:

OT: Okay, I’m officially lionizing Leo for today’s Dorico lesson — thank you!
