How Change Presets Via Midi?

Hello everyone! I was wondering whether it is possible to change a vst instrument’s presets with midi cc, or in any other way via a remote controller. I’ve searched the web for a solution, but I couldn’t find someting that matches what I want.

To be more specific, I have a midi controller, and I want to use two pads to go up and down the presets of, let’s say, Retrologue. Any idea?

i am using a keycommand for this; ‘preset’ -> ‘next’.

to map the function to a midi controller, you could set up a generic remote, ‘learn’ your controller’s respective pads’ channel and address, and assign to that function.
