How do I actually download the program?

Hello. I downloaded everything in the download assistant, but still cannot find the program to launch it. It’s not on my desktop, in the location download assistant targeted, in my appdata/local/steinberg folder, or in my program manager. I assume this means that it has not downloaded. How do I actually download the program to launch it?

I am on windows.

EDIT: It is also not in program files.

I’m not sure Dorico is yet designed for arm, and if it is, some audio VSTs are not yet compatible wit h arm.

Dorico on Arm CPUs is currently not supported and the Download Assistant doesn’t even show it for download.

Dorico on WOA (Windows On ARM) systems

WoA support is non-trivial for Dorico. There are a lot of moving parts: not only Dorico itself (which is contingent on what ARM64 support is provided by Qt), but also the audio engine, VST plug-ins, and so on. We will certainly support WoA with a native version in the future, but it’s hard to say exactly when that will be.

I have Dorico installed on my Surface pro 13, using the folowing method:

@Windows on ARM64 and Dorico 6.0.22 update

Unfortunately there is indeed a problem with the installer in 6.0.22 which means that it won’t correctly install the x64 version of Dorico on an ARM64 machine. (It is possible to work around this to some extent, if you download the installer and run the MSI rather than running Setup.exe, but this is only a partial workaround.) We should be able to fix this installer issue in a forthcoming release. However, that doesn’t mean that Dorico 6 will then run as a native ARM64 app - it just means that you will be able to install the x64 app as before.

Downloaded the actual installer for dorico and am able to now open the program, but playback does not work. Does it work on your end?

Yes, I have it working…. If I remember correctly, you will have to install Hallion from the download manager. You can also install other VST’s if you have. Let me know if it worked out.
