How do I apply my fingerings text font to my score?

I’ve created a fingerings text font. How do I apply it to my score?

For use as fingerings, or in generic text items?

If the former, you should edit these existing styles rather than create a new style:

If the latter, you should create a custom paragraph style.

You can’t apply a custom font to fingerings. In Engraving Options, if you have selected “Bold Font”, for Fingering Appearance, then Dorico will use the style defined as Fingering Font. If you have selected “Plain Font”, then Dorico will use Fingering Text Font.

To use Times, as you have, select Plain Font in Engraving Options and then modify the built-in Fingering Text Font style.

If the score isn’t mini, you have to wait a bit after having pressed OK (and chosen plain in engrave).

Thanks, Aaron!

As in much in Dorico you need to change things in at least two different locations for a single change to take place. I assumed it was something like this.
