How do I apply Normalize to file?

What I’m trying to do is add volume to an iTune file that was recorded too low.

I imported the file into Cubase, then normalized the clip (I processed the clip to normalize it). The graphic in the project window and the pool show that it is indeed normalized (larger waves). Yet if I import that file somewhere else into the project, or another application, the normalization is gone. I tried bouncing the selection and that does no good.

What do I need to do to apply the processing to the file itself?

Hello,

After Normalizing, select the Audio region and choose Audio > Bounce Selection menu.

If you try to Mixdown it, the track fader, and master fader affected this Mixdown. So set both of tham to 0.0dB, if you want to “export” it this way.
