How do I assign a page without a music frame to the previous flow?

Hello, I have noticed that Dorico does not assign a page without a music frame.
Inserting a music frame will assign this page to a flow, but this will be assigned to the next flow if the page appears after the last bar of the previous page.
To assign this page to the previous flow, you should add an empty bar and then hide it.

Is there another way to do this? This procedure is not very productive.

Can you describe what you’re trying to achieve? As it could be fairly simple via an alternative approach.

Thank you for your prompt answer!

I want to add some description of the flow (composer, title of piece, etc.) at the end of each flow.

You can add text frames for these however you like: either directly onto a single page as a local page override (meaning that page no longer picks up changes to the underlying page template), or on a page template (eg if you consistently want this information to be positioned in the middle of a page, you can design a page template with the frames in the middle, and use that page template on whichever pages need that arrangement).

However, flow tokens (for title, composer etc) pick up the flow number from whichever music comes after the token, and not before (meaning, music lower on the page than the token, not above). You can specify the flow number in the token if needed, but this then becomes harder to automate using page templates alone (eg {@flow1title@}).

I sympathize: when editing songs such as 17th century Airs de cour, I often have the music on the left page and the numerous couplets on the right page. So that if there is a whole book to put together the header on the couplets page will have the next Air/flow title…
Lillie’s suggestion to add the flow number to the token can help, if I create all the flows before editing the airs, but it’s a shame such an option is not available.
